Mmmmm, Fresh Eats…

There’s nothing more fresh, and delicious, than food straight from the farm. New Hampshire’s Farmers’ Markets make that farm connection to the best in locally produced food easier than ever.

A few markets operate year-round, bringing a variety winter produce and other local goodies, even though it’s cold out. And once summer rolls around, you’ll be able to find a market somewhere in the state every day of the week, and events from the Seacoast to the Great North Woods.

While you might already know your town’s market schedule, it’s great to know that other opportunities abound even when you’re not home. After all, who could resist the opportunity to pick up some fresh fruit for a hike, some veggies for the camp stew, or just a little something sweet to make that commute a little easier. Our handy 2010 Summer Farmers’ Market schedule lists all of the state’s markets by town and time. Be sure to keep a copy on hand.

Most markets will be open weekly by the first week of July. Please note that schedules are subject to change. For the latest details on markets across the state, please check the New Hampshire Farmer’s Market Association.

Happy Eating!
